Electrical Power Outlets
Power Points are used around our homes everywhere, they are common in kitchens, bathrooms, lounge rooms and TV rooms. Without power points there will be havoc as we need to use power points to switch on all electrical appliances. We use power points to plug in kettles, toasters, sandwich makers and the dredded clothes iron.
Power points come in a variety of shapes and sizes. There are standard white power points, with single or double outlets.
- Slimline power points
- Power points with brushed stainless steal or gold and brass plates
- Heritage power points with 1930s feel
- Weatherproof power points for outdoor installation
- 15 amp power points for air conditioning
- 20 amp power points used for electrical cookers
- Power points with surge protection
- Power points with safety switches
- Four outlet power points
Most homes will have at lest one power point in any given room. If your house was built in the 1950s the number of power points installed was limited due to the lack of electrical appliances need to use them. Many new homes today are not equipped with more than one or two power points installed to keep the cost of home building affordable.
The problem with not having enough power points in a room can lead to consumers buying power-boards to cut the cost of calling an electrician to install additional power points. Power-board can be unsafe to use with electric heaters and doubling up to gain additional outlets. Please read more about the dangers of power-boards here.
This page is not about power-boards it's about power point installation and this is where United Electrical Services would like you to take advantage of our offer. When you book a power point installation with us our licensed electrician will install a second standard power point for free.
Second Power Point Free
United Electrical Services will install your new power point in any room of your house and install an additional power point adjacent to the new power outlet installed. Our power point costs include a double white standard power point with a second new white standard power point installed adjacent to the other so that you have four outlets to use.
If you install two new power points our electricians will install two addition power points adjacent to each power outlet. We hope this offer will discourage the use of power boards.
